The purpose of mechanical engineering is to design and manufacture devices and systems that transform energy into motion and motion into energy for the welfare of man kind. Fittingly called the ‘Evergreen Branch' the department has kept itself up to date with the latest developments and trends in the field and has become the mainstay of the institution. The syllabus deals with topics ranging from manufacturing process, materials, mechanics, CAD, thermal and fluid science, energy conversion etc. |
