Information Technology is a new branch of study that has emerged over the last decade. While the term “Computer science” is usually reserved for the more theoretical, academic aspects of computing, the term “Information Technology” includes more of the human activities and non-computerized business processes like knowledge management. Today, eight out of ten of the fastest-Growing occupations are computer-Related. While one might think of the Typical IT worker as employed by a Major software company or systems Developer, the reality is that nine out of ten IT workers are found in banks, insurance companies, manufacturing plants or other non-IT businesses.
